Brussels, 15-16 December 2005

Organised by the European Commission, the 15-16 December Workshop “Ethical and Social Implications of Biometric Identification Technology: Towards an international approach” was a unique opportunity to open a high quality dialogue between technology experts and society analyst and researchers.

The workshop was attended (on invitation) by 70 experts coming from
Europe, from the USA and Asia. These experts were active players in governments, in industry and in universities or NGOs.
